Nali Patio Set to Close for Good on Jul 31: Sources
After rumors surfaced earlier this year that popular Sanlitun dining and nightlife spot Nali Patio would be closing sometime this summer, various sources familiar with the issue have informed us that Nali will indeed be closing as of Jul 31.
While the closure was initially thought to be coming at the end of June this year, it seems the date of Nali's demise has been pushed back just a bit more. Even though a date has been set, those we spoke to told us they're unsure what's going to happen to the complex after it's closed.
Nali has been a shell of its former self since it switched hands last summer
Beijing Boyce, who broke the story about Nali Patio's closure earlier this year, said the complex might be torn down to make way for a new development, according to his sources.
The situation has a tinge of déjà vu to it, considering Nali Patio looked to be on the chopping block amid a leasing dispute last summer. During that incident, the outgoing landlord called in a demolition crew, who worked to tear down large sections of the Nali Patio complex even while restaurants and businesses were still operating.
Chaos ensued last year when the outgoing landlord hired a demolition crew to take down parts of Nali Patio
Unlike last year, when Nali seemed safe from harm, this time it looks as if the end really has come. So, if you want to visit any of the Nali tenants such as Daruma, Bottega, El Barrio, Niajo, Mosto, Wagyukami, or The Bell x Martini, you'd better do it fast!
We'll keep you updated with the latest.
